The economics group at Johnson seeks to better understand the real world by using modern tools and methodologies. Research encompasses industrial organization, behavioral, labor, and organizational economics. Within these fields, there is a particular—although by no means exclusive—emphasis on applied theory. PhD students in economics at Johnson are fully part of the broader economics.
Professor Francesca Molinari was recently elected a Fellow of the International Association for Applied Econometrics. The aim of the Association is to advance the education of the public in the subject of econometrics and its applications to a variety of fields in economics.
